Obituary of Coby Vannoord

Vannoord, peacefully after a courageous battle with cancer at her residence on Thursday, October 7, 2010. Jacqueline "Coby" Vannoord of St. Thomas in her 68th year. She will be greatly missed by her beloved husband Jack Vannoord and her children Brad Vannoord and wife Debi of St. Thomas, Mike Vannoord and wife Kathy of Lyons, Jeff Vannoord and wife Tammie of Aylmer, Janine Shelton of Aylmer, Robin Buist and husband George of Burgessville and Kris Vannoord and friend Michelle of Aylmer. Loving grandmother of Jesse, Kevin, Cassie, Naomi, Samantha, Jocelyn, Josh, Tyson, Eden, Aidan, Jackson and Lucas. Sister of Lou Dykxhoorn and wife Willy, Jack Dykxhoorn and wife Ruby, Sophia Van Kessel and Peggy Grass. Also survived by a number of nieces, nephews and cousins. Predeceased by a brother Neil Dykxhoorn and a sister Nellie Korhonen. Born in Nootdorp, The Netherlands on March 31, 1943 daughter of the late Nelus and Neeltje (Steeneveld) Dykxhoorn. Coby was an active member of the Aylmer Christian Reformed Church. Friends may call at the H. A. Kebbel Funeral Home, Aylmer on Sunday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A celebration of Coby's life will be held at the Aylmer Christian Reformed Church on Tuesday, October 12, 2010 at 11:00 am. A private family burial will be held prior to the service at the Aylmer Cemetery. Rev. Walter DeRuiter and nephew Rev. Jeff Vandermeer, officiating.
