Obituary of Katharina Schlecht

Schlecht, with her family by her side at St. Thomas Elgin General Hospital on Friday,September 24, 2010. Katharina Schlecht of Aylmer in her 89th year. Dear mother of Mary Weber and husband John of London and Sophia Lindert and husband Mike of Aylmer . Loved by her grandchildren Katherine Murphy and husband Terry, Karen Baller and husband Chris, and Michael Lindert. Great grandmother of Braidan, Brianna, David, Matthew, Kiersten and Evan. Sister of John Seimen of Aylmer and sister-in-law of Maria Seimen in Austria. Also survived by 3 nephews and 2 nieces. Predeceased by a brother Michael Seimen in Austria (2001), a grandson Johnny Weber (2007) and a sister-in-law Mary Seimen (2008). Born in Ungersdorf, Romania on August 17, 1922, daughter of the late Johann and Maria (Weindrich) Seimen. Katharina came to Canada in 1954 and was a member of St.John's Lutheran Church and the German Canadian Club. She had worked at Essex Wire and Imperial Tobacco. Friends may call at the H. A. Kebbel Funeral Home, Aylmer on Monday 2-4 & 7-9 pm. The funeral service will be held at the funeral home chapel on Tuesday September 28, 2010 at 11 a.m. Interment, Aylmer Cemetery. Rev. John Goldsworthy, officiating. Prayers 8 p.m. Monday. Donations to St. John's Lutheran Church or the St. Thomas Elgin General Hospital Palliative Care would be appreciated.
