Obituary of Frederick Barker

Barker, at Parkwood Hospital on Saturday, August 28, 2010. Frederick Charles Barker of London in his 89th year. Beloved husband of the late Marjorie (Allan) Barker. Dear brother of Howard of Terrace Lodge Aylmer and Mabel Hartsell of London. Predeceased by brothers Max, Bill, George, Frank, Keith, Doug, Albert, and sisters Lowella, Edith, Della. Step-grandfather of Marvin Tanner and wife Laura, Patti Tanner and Vickie Soderman. Dear friend of Mr & Mrs Mark VanOverberghe. Also survived by a number of nieces and nephews. Born in Oxford County Ontario on November 20, 1921 son of the late Ira and Lily (Lumo) Barker. Fred was a resident of St. Andrew Street in Aylmer and formerly of Springfield. He was an avid fisherman and worked for Carnation Milk for many years. Friends may call at the H. A. Kebbel Funeral Home, Aylmer on Wednesday 7-9 p.m. where the funeral service will be held on Thursday, September 2, 2010 at 11:00 am. Interment, Orwell Cemetery.
