Van Acker, at St. Thomas Elgin General Hospital on Saturday August 21, 2010. Julien Rosa Van Acker of Aylmer in his 80th year. Beloved husband of Gwenith (Rayfield) Van Acker and predeceased by his wife Jessie (1980). Dear father of Brian Van Acker (Carol) of Vancouver Island, Larry Van Acker (Lynn) of Bowmanville, Steve Van Acker (Annalyn) of Toronto, Rory Van Acker (Cindy) of St.Thomas and Michelle Wieler (Frank) of Aylmer. Step-father of Bradley Rule (Kerri) of Port Bruce and Greg Rule (Sue) of Dorchester. Loved by 16 grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren. Brother-in-law of Jim Marshall (Ann), Ken Marshall (Barb), Josephine Van Acker, Ralph Rayfield(Gudney) and Belvena Potts. Predeceased by a brother Guido Van Acker and a sister Rosa Cann. Born in Beveren - Wass Belgium on August 10, 1931, son of the late Karel and Marie (Scheers) Van Acker. Julien was a member of Our Lady of Sorrows Roman Catholic Church and a retired employee of Imperial Tobacco. Friends may call at the H. A. Kebbel Funeral Home, Aylmer on Tuesday 2-4 & 7-9 pm. The Funeral Mass will be from Our Lady of Sorrows R.C.Church, Aylmer on Wednesday, August 25, 2010 at 11:00 am. Prayers at the Funeral Home, Tuesday at 8:30 pm. Interment, Queen of Peace Cemetery.
