Obituary of Jack Hiemstra

Hiemstra, Jack "In God's Infinite wisdom, He chose to call home, by cancer, His child, peacefully at his residence on Wednesday, November 23, 2011." Jack Hiemstra of Aylmer in his 80th year. Beloved husband of Hendrika (Hartemink) Hiemstra. Dear father and grandfather of Andrew Hiemstra and wife Caroline of Watford (Jared, Erin, Joshua, Jenna); Brian Hiemstra and wife Jeanette of Aylmer (Naomi, Caleb, Elijah, Josiah); Marjorie Korvemaker and husband James of Wyoming (Adam, Jason, Rebecca, Michael, Grace, Steven, Sarah); Carl Hiemstra and wife Brenda of Aylmer (Emma, Daniel and Heidi) and Henrietta Hiemstra of Cambridge. Dearly missed by brothers Wytze (Janny), Andries (the late Patricia), Theo (Ann) and John (Christine). Also survived by a sister-in-law Minnie Hiemstra and a number of nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his brother Andy Hiemstra(2011). Born in Haule, Friesland on August 8, 1932, son of the late Auke and Margaret (Russchen) Hiemstra. Jack loved his Heavenly Father and lived for Him and was an active member of the Bethel United Reformed Church. He was a dairy farmer and a Border Collie breeder. Visitation will be held at Bethel United Reformed Church, 49823 Talbot Line Hwy 3 East, Aylmer on Thursday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. The Funeral Service will be held at the Church on Friday, November 25 at 2:00p.m. Interment, Aylmer Cemetery.
