Obituary of Maria Kern

Kern, Peacefully with family by her side at St. Thomas Elgin General Hospital on Tuesday, June 1, 2010. Maria Kern of R.R.2, Aylmer in her 77th year. Beloved wife of the late Alfred Kern (Feb.2010). Aunt to Connie & Caroline Greger. Sister of the late Emil Eckert and the late Anna Greger. Sister-in-law of Rupert Greger. Also survived by a number of nieces and nephews. Born in Lichtental, Bessarabien on December 16, 1933 daughter of the late Christian and Louise (Sommer) Eckert. Friends may call at the H. A. Kebbel Funeral Home, Aylmer on Thursday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. where the funeral service will be held on Friday June 4, 2010 at 11:00 am. Cremation will follow with interment in the Aylmer Cemetery. Prayers at the funeral home 8:00 pm Thursday. Rev. John Goldsworthy, officiating. Donations to the St. John's Lutheran Church would be appreciated.
