Van Dyk, at St. Thomas Elgin General Hospital on Monday, April 12, 2010. John Van Dyk of Aylmer in his 81st year. Beloved husband of the late Maria (VerHeyen) Van Dyk (2006). Dear father of Diane Rabaey and husband Dan of St.Thomas. Loved by his grandchildren Danielle and Jessica. Brother of Bert Van Dyk, Leo Van Dyk and wife Dianne, Henry Van Dyk and wife Anna Marie, Frank Van Dyk and wife Kathy, Helen Vanderheyden and husband Pete, and Tina Van de Wetering. Also survived by a number of nieces and nephews. Predeceased by brothers Joe, Jim, Tony and Pete and sisters, Betty, Mary and Henrietta. Born in Mill, The Netherlands on January 20, 1930 son of the late Leo and Johanna (Lamers) Van Dyk. John was a farmer and an avid reader. Friends may call at the H. A. Kebbel Funeral Home, Aylmer on 7-9 pm Thursday where the funeral service will be held on Friday,April 16, 2010 at 11:00 am. Interment of cremated remains, Aylmer Cemetery.
