GARTON, Perry - Peacefully, with his family at his home, after a courageous battle with cancer, Perry Garton of St. Thomas at the age of 78, beloved husband of Helen (Willey) Hoffman Garton. Dear father of Linda Churchill of St. Thomas, Debbie McKean and husband Dave of R.R.#4, Aylmer, Dave Garton of St. Thomas, Kim Watters and friend Fred Meek of London, and Tammy Bechard and husband Mike of R.R.#8, St. Thomas. Dear stepfather of Rob Willey, Rhonda and Verne Higgs and their families. Loving grandfather of Jennifer, Sara and Isaac, Heather and John, Brad and Jenn, Matt and Melanie, Julia and Erik, Trish, Grace and Liam. Great grandfather of Mason, Keira and Avery. Brother of Maxine Irish and husband Jack, Ken Garton, Ted Garton and wife Helen, Mary May Charlton and husband Wayne, all of St. Thomas and Earl Garton of Winnipeg. Will be missed by many nieces and nephews, extended family and friends. Predeceased by wife Patricia (Fox), brother John Garton, sister Marion (Garton) Pettit and son-in-law Howard Churchill. Born in South Dorchester Township, son of the late Clarence (Farmer) and Beatrice (Perry) Garton. Perry was an employee of Jaeger Machine, St. Thomas for 25 years. Perry was an avid fisherman who spent many summers fishing with his family up north. He loved gardening and tinkering on small engines. He was a member of Victory Lodge #465 I.O.O.F., Belmont. Donations to Canadian Cancer Society or Oddfellows Victory Lodge #465, Rebekah Monta #239, Belmont would be appreciated. Friends may call at the H.A. KEBBEL FUNERAL HOME, Aylmer on Wednesday, 2 - 4 and 7 - 9 p.m. where the Funeral will be held at the Funeral Home Chapel on Thursday at 11:00 a.m. Interment, Mapleton Cemetery. Rev.
