Obituary of Clara Ashford

Ashford, at her residence on Sunday, April 4, 2010. Clara Reta Ashford of Terrace Lodge, Aylmer in her 96th year. Beloved wife of the late Laurel "Shorty" Ashford. Dear mother of Ruth Anne Perrin and husband John of R.R.5, Aylmer, Jim Ashford and wife Dianne of Avon, Larry Ashford of San Antonio, Texas and Brian Ashford and wife Peggy of R.R.#1, Aylmer. Loving grandmother of Lloyd and David Perrin, Steven, Russell, Bob, Kevin,Laurie, Adam, Josh, Chelsey and Graham Ashford. Sister-in-law to Lillian Sadler of Tillsonburg and Helen Sadler of Kingsville. Also survived by a number of great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Predeceased by a grandson Rick, brothers Wesley, Edgar, Frank and Gilbert and a sister Edna. Born in North Dorchester Township on March 28, 1915 daughter of the late Arthur and Elizabeth (Lamplough) Sadler. Clara was a member of the Arkess Rebekah Lodge for over 60 years. Friends may call at the H. A. Kebbel Funeral Home, Aylmer on Wednesday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. where the funeral service will be held on Thursday, April 8, 2010 at 1:00 p.m. Interment, Aylmer Cemetery.
