We became friends of Bonnie's through Chateau Gardens; through the wonderful care she gave our Mother and the kindnesses and friendship she offered to our family over the years. It was easy to develop a friendship with Bonnie during our daily visits to the Home. She was a lovely person and care giver. We missed Bonnie so much after she was away from Chateau Gardens. We have always had a special place in our hearts for her and we will not forget her. We both send our sincerest sympathies and friendship to each of you during this difficult time. Sincerely, Linda and Tom

I was so sad to hear of your recent loss. As a past co-worker of Bonnie's I can attest to her dedication to patients, their families and her co-workers. She was always a supportive friend and we had so much fun at work with her around. Always a laugh or two. I will always remember her funny stories, her dedication to her family and the coffee and cigarette during report!!

Dear Bonnie, We worked together at Chateau Gardens years ago. You were such a caring wonderful nurse and the best co worker anyone could wish for. I remember a reference you gave me long ago when I was going on to another job. You said "If I was to have a nurse for my mother, I would pick Marsha" That was the nicest, most meaningful compliment I have ever received in all my years of nursing and I have and will never forgot it. I was just thinking about you on Monday morning before I knew you had passed. I was driving by the corner of Caverly Road and Fath Ave on my way home from work, and looked down towards where you used to live and wondered how you were now and of course what you had said about me. The world is minus one wonderful lady now. Rest in peace Bonnie

It seems eons ago, but at one time Bonnie Smith was one of the "faces" of Aylmer Scouting. Along with Eve Ireland and Chris Kipp, Bonnie was part of the driving force that kept Aylmer front & center in Elgin Scouting. I have a picture from 2002 when all 3 of these ladies co-chaired the Mall Display. 8 years ago. It seems like ages, not just 8 years, doesn't it? I'll miss you Bonnie! It was a pleasure to know you! If anyone would like a copy of the picture, please email me.
