Obituary of Jerry Van Patter

Van Patter, at St. Thomas Elgin General Hospital on Thursday, February 4, 2010. Gerald Martin "Jerry" Van Patter of Aylmer in his 88th year. Beloved husband of Dorothy (Pineo) Van Patter. Dear father of Geraldine "Geri" Spencer and husband John of Windsor, Deborah "Debbie" Boersema and husband Mike of Aylmer and the late Greg Van Patter (1991). Loved by his 5 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren. Brother of Marion Johnson of Aylmer and Frances Hindmarsh of London. Predeceased by brothers Donald and George. Born in Malahide Township Ontario on October 6, 1922, son of the late George and Isabel (MacMillan) Van Patter. Jerry was a farmer who lived in Malahide Township all his life. He was a past member of Malahide Fire Department #2, the Aylmer Lodge #94 I.O.O.F and the T. Meadow Hunt Camp. Jerry was past president of the East Elgin Sportsman Club and was an avid golfer and hunter. Friends may call at the H. A. Kebbel Funeral Home, Aylmer on Friday 2-4 and 7-9 pm where the funeral service will be held on Saturday February 6, 2010 at 11:00 am . Cremation with burial in the Aylmer Cemetery.
