Obituary of Merle Ward

Ward, at his residence on Sunday, January 31, 2010. Merle Bruce Ward of Miller Lake and formerly of Aylmer in his 49th year. Dear brother of Scott Ward and partner Shannon Jukes of Aylmer, a nephew Brody, and by good friends Dennis, Annette and Brandon Dunn. Also survived by Bruce and Penny Tolmie, Skip and Nina Dunn, Steve and Doreen Dunn, Glenda and Jack McKenzie, Cork, Joan and Jeff Ward and families. Born in St. Thomas on February 6, 1961 son of the late Bruce and Helen (Volway) Ward. He was Past President of the Aylmer Minor Hockey Association and coached minor hockey for many years. He was a member of the Aylmer Slo-pitch League and the Knights of Columbus. Merle was an avid hunter and fisherman. He worked at Studers, Lear Seating and Uplands Pheasantry. Friends may call at the H. A. Kebbel Funeral Home, Aylmer on Tuesday 7-9 p.m. where the funeral service will be held on Wednesday, February 3, 2010 at 11:00 am. Cremation will follow.
