Obituary of Allan Johnston

Allan Robert Johnston, March 18, 1941 - January 16, 2010, of Aylmer, Ontario passed away peacefully in his 69th year at St. Thomas Hospital in the Palliative Care Unit after a long battle with cancer. He is survived by his beloved wife Marianna Lynn Johnston (nee Clarke), his mother Irene, his daughter Sherry Greene, her husband Dave Greene and their children Dylan and Abby of Sarnia and his son Bradley Johnston of Manitoba. He is also survived by his brothers, Brian (and Deb), Gary (and Marlene), Rex (and Marianne), Tom (and Wendy) and nieces and nephews: Stephanie (and Aaron), Melanie, Ashley, Michelle, Justine, Jennifer (and family), Julie, Mike, Mandy, Kelsey, and Tyson. Allan was predeceased by his father, Ford (2002), brother, Larry (2001) and nephew, Jason (2005). Allan was fond of Quarter horses and enjoyed raising them during his time in Aylmer. Allan has been cremated according to his wishes and there will be no visitation or funeral service. The family wishes to thank Dr. Logan at London Health Sciences Centre and all of her staff, all the nurses in the Chemo suite at LHSC, Dr. Teeple and all of the staff in the Palliative Care Unit in St. Thomas for their kindness and consideration during Allan's time there.
