Obituary of Bob Wood

Wood, at his residence on Tuesday, December 29, 2009. Robert "Bob" Wood of St. Thomas in his 82nd year. Beloved husband of the late Sheila (Mitchell) Wood(2000). Dear father of Dale Wood and Kimberly Locke and papa to Kiana and Kiara of Port Stanley. Brother of Anne McBride and husband Myron, Bill and wife Jenny, George and wife Darlene and Hank and wife Wilma. Brother-in-law of Mary Mitchell, Marlene Wilson, Wayne Mitchell, Donna Wood and Ruth Wood. Also survived by a number of nieces and nephews. Predeceased by a brothers Jack and Jim Wood, a sister Julie Jones, brothers-in-law Allan Jones, George Wilson and Larry Mitchell. Born in Scotland on July 10, 1928 son of the late James Watt and Isabella Adie (Wallace) Wood. He was the former owner of U & W Lumber, Aylmer. Bob was Past President of the Aylmer Kinsmen Club and a lifelong member of Pleasant Valley Country Club. He was a supporter of Aylmer Minor Hockey and Aylmer baseball. Friends may call at the H. A. Kebbel Funeral Home, Aylmer on Friday afternoon 2-4 p.m. where the funeral service will be held on Saturday, January 2, 2010 at 11:00 am. Interment, Aylmer Cemetery. Rev.
