Steel, peacefully at St. Thomas Elgin General Hospital on Monday, November 23, 2009. Rebecca Steel of Terrace Lodge, Aylmer and formerly of New Sarum in her 91st year. Beloved wife of the late John Steel(1984). Dear mother of Jocelyn McCollister and husband Howard of Calgary, Johnny Steel of New Zealand, Norman Steel and wife Nancy of Australia, Lydia Reaume and husband Byron of Chatham, June Elley and husband Kirk of R.R.1, Aylmer. Loving Nana of Howie, Christopher, Andrew, Michael, Tanya, John, Danny, Rory, Wylie, Rebecca, Rad, Janet, Matthew, Sarah, Philip, Alison, Kathleen, Krista and Johnathan. Also survived by many great-grandchildren. Born in Larkhall Scotland on April 1, 1919 daughter of the late Thomas and Lydia (Brookes) Wood. Rebecca was a member of the New Sarum Baptist Church and graduated as a registered nurse from Glasgow Royal Infirmary. Friends may call at the H. A. Kebbel Funeral Home, Aylmer on Wednesday 7-9 p.m. where the funeral service will be held on Thursday, November 26, 2009 at 11:00 am. Family interment in the Aylmer Cemetery. Rev. Phil Butler and Rev.
