Obituary of Dick Campbell

Campbell, peacefully with his family by his side at Chateau Gardens on Saturday, November 14, 2009. "Dick" W.B. Campbell of Aylmer in his 83rd year. Beloved husband of 62years of Gladys (Locey) Campbell. Dear father of Barb Sprague and husband Doug of Aylmer and Dick Campbell and wife Lori of R.R.#1, Aylmer. Loving grandfather of Todd Sprague and wife Laurie, Sheri Andrews and husband Brad, Sara Beth Allen and husband Mike, Nicole McCallum and husband Mark and Alison Campbell and friend Travis Neville. Great-grandfather of Cale, Brooke, Alexandra, William, Grace, Meg, Tess, Carter, Maya. He will be sadly missed by a brother Earl and wife Gloria, sisters Dorothy Van Velzer and Amie Woolley and a number of nieces and nephews. Predeceased by brothers Ray, Ken and Keith and a sister Hazel Huffman. Born in North Dorchester Twp. son of the late Bruce and Mae (Lapham) Campbell. He drove truck for Jack Learn and Walker Transport for many years. In 1966 he and his wife Gladys purchased an egg grading station on King Street in Aylmer. Together they owned and operated Campbell's Eggs for 10 years. Following the sale of the business Dick went to work for the Township of Malahide until he retired in 1992. He didn't last long being retired so he decided to work delivering Mini Barns for the Waglers. He loved doing this and reluctantly gave it up just a few years ago. He will be sadly missed by his friends in the Amish community. Dick was a member of the I.O.O.F. and the Aylmer Optimist Club. Friends may call at the H. A. Kebbel Funeral Home, Aylmer on Sunday 2-4 and Monday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. where the funeral service will be held on Tuesday, November 17, 2009 at 11:00 am. Interment, Aylmer Cemetery.
