Howey, at Chateau Gardens on Friday, November 13, 2009. Doris Ruth Howey of Aylmer in her 88th year. Beloved wife of the late Joseph Howey(1996). Loving mother of Robert & wife Marilyn of R. R.#1, Belmont, Georgena Veraart & husband Laurens of R. R.#1, Aylmer, Barbara Gardner & husband Robert of Dorchester, Dorothy Carder & husband James of R.R.#1, Southwold & Katherine Bramley & husband Ronald of St. Thomas. Also survived by and number of grandchildren & great grandchildren. Dear sister of Marjorie Tribe of London. Born in Kingsmill Ontario on August 6, 1922 daughter of the late Walter "Shep" and Flossie (Rice) Ashford. Doris was a member of Harriesville Mossley United Church, the Harrietsville Women's Institute and the Charity Rebekah Lodge. Friends may call at the H. A. Kebbel Funeral Home, Aylmer on Sunday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Charity Rebekah Lodge will conduct a lodge service on Sunday at 6:45 p.m. The funeral service will be held in the funeral home chapel on Monday, November 16, 2009 at 11:00 am.
