Obituary of Verna Brooks

Brooks, at Terrace Lodge on Saturday, September 26, 2009. Verna Merrick Brooks of Aylmer in her 98th year. Beloved wife of the late Thomas Brooks(1957). Dear mother of Pat Jennings and husband Jim of Minnesota and John Brooks and wife Sandra Aucoin of Thamesford. Loving grandmother of Ellyn, Claire, Mathew, Leah, Josh, Jade, Damon, Ryan and Jillian. Also survived by a number of nieces and nephews. Predeceased by brothers Gordon Merrick and wife Jean, Ray Merrick, Frank Merrick and wife Hud, Austen Merrick and wife Velma and Alex Merrick. Born in Gore Bay Ontario on December 22, 1911 daughter of the late Hiram and Mary-Ann (McCannel) Merrick. A memorial service will be held at the H. A. Kebbel Funeral Home, 119 Talbot St. E., Aylmer on Saturday, October 3, 2009 at 11:00 am. Cremation has taken place. Burial St. John's Angican Cemetery, Mississauga. Rev. Al Korvemaker, officiating.
