Our hearts go out to Aunt Lavella & family. Although I haven't been in touch with the family for a while, my fondest memories of her go back a lot of years (50's & 60's) when I looked forward to going to the farm & cottage for the summers. She was very kind and seen to it that we always had fun and was a great cook.

Today we say goodbye to Lavella, a lady that we were proud to call our friend. Lavella loved to have company. Mention a game of euchre and she was always ready to play. She knew her cards and was always a hard person to beat. We will miss her laughter and smile, especially when she had a winning hand. "Gotcha" was her favourite saying. People in the Trailer Park fondly called her 'mom' Lavella, your passing will leave a great void in our lives. You were truly a good friend. "Blow a little leaf to a beautiful place. Safe in the sheltering arms of a summer breeze." Know that you will always be with us in our memories and our thoughts.

I am grateful that I spent the last 2 months living with you enjoying your precious company - I will always cherish that time. What a strong & amazing woman! I hope I can possess even half of the incredible qualities that made you who you were. I will always try to model myself after your gracious and kind nature. Love you Grandma.

To a Great Woman and a Great Mom; We never knew how old you were getting because you never slowed down. You were hard to keep up to, but you were always there. I feel you had a check list with everything to complete and as of last Saturday your list was complete. Not many get to attend all their grandchildrens weddings. So now it was your time to go. It still stands, "I want to be just like you Mom when I grow up!" I love you and miss you so much, Bren

My beautiful Grandma, you meant the world to me. I must now figure out how to adjust my world without you in it. You were a fixture in my life. I now have to realize that all I have is memories of you and not the real you. But my memories of you will make you live on forever as you are unforgetable. You were my heart and soul and always will be. I will be able to carry on as I know that you are now at peace with Grandpa once again. I will always love you, Lisa

I have many happy memories of Lavella and all the good times i spent in Long Point at the cottage with Max and Lavella. One story i would like to share is that I would go out and buy Limburger cheese to eat and put in the fridge. Lavella would come along and always throw it out on me because of the smell and i would have to go and get it out of the garbage can. This would always make her laugh. She will be missed by many people, always had time for everyone, our deepest sympathy to all the family. Dave Shackleton and Linda
