Rabbets, with her family by her side at London Health Science Centre-Westminster Campus on Wednesday, May 6, 2009. Elizabeth Susan Rabbets of Aylmer in her 63rd year. Beloved wife of Paul Rabbets. Dear mother of Ted Rabbets and wife Tina of Ottawa and Jennifer Shackelton and husband Michael of R.R.# 1 Springfield. Loving grandmother of Genevieve and Nicholas Rabbets, Joel, Matthew and Nathan Shackelton. Sister of Sandra Harvey and husband David of Belleville and Alex Megyesi and wife Pat of Guelph. Sister-in-law of Bev Rabbets and wife Isa of St.Marys, and Elaine Rabbets of St.Thomas. Also survived by a number of nieces and nephews. Predeceased by a daughter Charmaine (1971) grandson Owen (2006) and a brother-in-law Ted Rabbets(2008). Born in Simcoe Ontario on February 9, 1947, daughter of the late Alex and Susie (Paulik) Megyesi. Liz was an active member of her community. She was the patient service chairperson for the East Elgin Cancer Society. She was a member of the Board of Directors of St. Paul's United Church and a Past President of the Young Ladies Group of the U.C.W. Liz volunteered with the Y.W.C.A. and Family and Children's Services where she was nominated for a Women of Distinction Award in 1993. Presently she was the Sunday School Superintendent at St.Paul's United Church. Friends may call at the H. A. Kebbel Funeral Home, Aylmer on Saturday 7-9 and Sunday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. The funeral service will be held at St. Paul's United Church, Aylmer on Monday, May 11, 2009 at 11:00 am.
