Obituary of Martinus Weverink

Weverink, at St. Thomas Elgin General Hospital on Monday, April 27, 2009. Martinus (Martin) Weverink of Aylmer in his 88th year. Beloved husband of the late Neeltje "Nel" (Tensen) Weverink (July 22, 2008). Dear father of Theresa VanGurp and husband Neil of Aylmer, Henry Weverink and wife Louise of Aylmer, Len Weverink and wife Jane of Aylmer, Marian Weesjes and husband Henry of St.Thomas, Judi Hanenburg and husband Jeff of Woodstock, and Victor Weverink and wife Ena of Aylmer. Loved by 24 grandchildren and 37 great grandchildren. Brother of Gerred Weverink and wife Eekje and Stien DeKroon all of the Netherlands. Brother-in-law of Helen Hiemstra of Aylmer. Predeceased by brothers Joe, Wim, Simon, Leo, and Kik Weverink. Born in Andyk, The Netherlands on March 12, 1922 son of the late Leo and Thea (Swier) Weverink. Martin came to Canada in 1951, settled in Cornwall and moved to Aylmer in 1954. He was a member of the Aylmer Christian Reformed Church and a retired employee of Clark Equipment (VME). Friends may call at the H. A. Kebbel Funeral Home, Aylmer on Wednesday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. The funeral service will be held at the Aylmer Christian Reformed Church (South St. W. at Caverly Rd.) on Thursday, April 30, 2009 at 1:00 pm.
