I didn't know Sam very well but he always had a smile on his face. He was kind, caring and loving. He stood up for me when I felt no one would. He had a kind heart. Sam was a good kid. I remember seeing Diane at Zellers all the time when both Sam and my daughter were babies. We seemed to always be shopping the same day for baby wipes! As the school secretary at Sparta P.S. I saw Sam mature into a kind hearted, confident young man over the years. Once he went to high school, my daughter met him and they became friends. Sam returned to Sparta weekly to pick up his younger brother from school. He ALWAYS visited me in the office and we chatted about high school, life, and girls until the dismissal bell rang. Sam was outgoing and friendly to everyone. I will remember him always. My heart goes out to all who love Sam - especially to Diane and Mike. I am so deeply sorry for your loss. Love and hugs, Jodi

Sam always put a smile on my face, as he did to everyone. I was lucky to have an art class in grade 10 with Sam and it was very nice to know I would have a smile everyday. He always spoke about hunting turkeys and squirrels and fishing. He was a great friend to everyone and not one bad thing about him. He was easy too young to go, may he now rest in peace and hunt all he wants. Always will be missed, never forgotten. ❤️
