Ruby Irean Brackenbury of Aylmer in her 94th year. Beloved wife of the late Wallace "Wally" Brackenbury (1995). Dear mother of Geraldine Bearss of Aylmer, and Pat Ethelston of Cambridge. Loved by her grandchildrren Mike Bearss and wife Laurie of Springfield, Jim Bearss of Aylmer, Lorelei Bearss of India, Michael Ethelston of B.C., Mark Ethelston of Alberta and Nici Ethelston of London. Great grandmother of Jeremy and Jennifer of London. Ruby was the last surviving member of her family and was predeceased by sisters Millie Loucks, Glenna Henning, Lillian Thurston, Lettie Jenkins, Agnes McInnis, Florence Fishleigh, Jean Magone and brothers Ben White, Bill White and George White. Born in Flesherton, Ontario on April 6, 1915, the daughter of the late George and Tillie (Lever) White. Ruby moved to Malahide Township with her family at the age of six years. She lived on the 1st concession of Malahide Township for twenty-five years, moved to Springfield in 1950 and Aylmer in 1981. She was a member of St. Paul's United Church and an active member of St.John's United and St.Paul's United Church Women's groups. She had been an active member of the Springfield Women's Institute and a 4H Club Leader. Ruby enjoyed lawn bowling, 5 pin bowling and euchre. Friends may call at the H. A. Kebbel Funeral Home, Aylmer on Tuesday 2-4 & 7-9 pm where the funeral service will be held on Wednesday April 1, 2009 at 1:00 pm.
