I am glad I had the opportunity to know Chantel. She was a beautiful young lady inside and out. I will miss visiting her in the hospital and taking her for drives. She was one of the strongest I have known. You never heard her complain or say poor me. I remember once she said she wasn't afraid of death cause she would see her mother again. Now I know she is up in heaven and her mother has her arms around her. Fondest memories.

I coached Chantel in hockey when she was around 12 years old. A quiet sweet girl who was consistent on the ice and a team player well-liked by her team mates. I'm so sorry life dealt her such a bad hand and cut it so short but now at least she can be at peace with her mother who also was a beautiful person. My condolences to her brother and Kat and her little sister who will miss her terribly. XOXO

Jason, Olivia I was devastated to read of Chantel death. Life seems so unfair to lose someone so young. In Revelation 21:4; tells us: “And he will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore.” For more free comforting scriptures please visit: http://bit.ly/1K38EFt. It has given me hope, strengthened my faith and helped me to find out why? I know it will do the same for you. Again, I offer my sincere condolences to you and family members. Feel free to contact me is you wish at my email address: ikeyes@msn.com

Rest in paradise my friend, you will be truly missed. I'm sorry that you had such a long battle to cancer, I didn't know what was going on and didn't want to make it public on social media. I wish I could come and pay my respects, but I know you know that I would if I could. You are such a good person with a big heart...wish I could of told you that one more time in person. <3

I'll always remember you Chantel as a strong person from the moment you were born as a premie. Your momma was by your side every day in the hospital until she could finally take you home. I will cherish the memories of earlier days visiting and hearing you and Jay giggling in your bedroom as you came up with creative games to play. As well as cramming 5 people and hockey equipment into a compact car to watch you play hockey. Your mom would have been proud of the close relationship you had with Olivia & Jason, as well as your cheerful disposition and the brave battle you endeared these last few months with the help of dedicated and loyal friends and family. Now you can rest pain free in the loving arms of your heavenly family.

Chantel, I will always remember when you were born, early and so tiny, 3 lbs. 10 oz., on the day before my birthday. Your Mom was so proud of her "Bella." I can't remember when you weren't smiling - that beautiful smile. My fondest memories will always be of you as a happy child, so full of fun and energy. But I will most admire you for your strength and optimism in the last year as you faced your illness. You remained cheerful and full of fight. I was so proud of you. With love, Aunt Teri.

Carolina and I were saddened to hear that a vibrant young life has ended all too soon. We didn't know Chantel very well, but we know some members of her family and we share in their grief at this time. I coached some hockey with Jay and we were regular visitors with Joanne and Olivia as they started their new life in Twin Lakes. This is too much grief for one family over too short a period of time. May you rest in peace Chantel in the arms of your loving mother.
