Schmitt, Abram Klassen of Aylmer passed away at London Health Science Centre-University on Wednesday, February 01, 2017 in his 76th year. Beloved husband of Helena (Klassen) Schmitt. Dear father of Abe Schmitt(Anna), Cornelius Schmitt(Maria), Peter Schmitt(Helena), Lisa Klassen(Johan), Jake Schmitt(Nancy), Johan Schmitt(Helena), Henry Schmitt(Aurora), Frank Schmitt, Isaac Schmitt(Anna), Helena Wall(Peter), Tina Braun(Jake) and Sara Friesen(Jake). Also survived by 74 grandchildren, 32 great-grandchildren, 4 brothers, 9 sisters and many nieces and nephews. Born in Durango Mexico on September 23, 1941 son of the late Cornelius and Katharina (Klassen) Schmidt. Friends may call at the Old Colony Mennonite Church, Aylmer on Thursday from 6-9 p.m. where the funeral service will be held at the church on Friday, February 3, 2017 at 2:00 pm.
