Obituary of Murray Sweetman

Sweetman, Murray of Dutton passed away peacefully at his residence on Tuesday, October 4, 2016. He was 83. Beloved husband of the late Helen (nee Whitcroft) for 57 years. Loving and proud Dad of Charles of Toronto. Dear brother of Roger Sweetman (the late Marilyn), Ken Sweetman (Betty Ann) and the late Glen Sweetman (the late Helen) , brother-in-law of Percy Whitcroft (Margaret), Shirley Sanderson (George), June Whitcroft (the late Duane), Rosie Whitcroft (the late Leroy), Marie Whitcroft (the late Ron). He will be fondly remembered by his nieces, nephews, extended family and many friends. He will always be remembered as "Grandpa Murray" to the Leitch Street Kids. He had a successful 40 year career with the Elgin Co-Op and was Manager of the Dutton Branch. Born in Essex County on October 9, 1932, son of the late Warren and Lura (Ellis) Sweetman. Murray enjoyed his fall hunting trips with the "Gang" and collecting dairy tokens and antique milk and fruit jars. Friends may call at the H. A. Kebbel Funeral Home, Aylmer on Monday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. where the funeral service will be held on Tuesday, October 11, 2016 at 11:00 am. Interment, Aylmer Cemetery.
