Obituary of Anita Swartman

SWARTMAN, Anita (née FARROW): Anita died peacefully at the age of 78 on Thursday, August 25th, at the Seaforth Community Hospital, surrounded by her loving husband and children. Anita leaves behind a large, high-spirited family and many dear friends. Anita is survived by her best friend and devoted husband of 56 years, Robert ("Bob"); three children, daughters Kellie and Leslie (Nick), and son Christopher; three grandsons Shawn, Jed and Jack; siblings Betty Layfield (Bob), Katherine Farquhar (David) and Ron Farrow (Mildred); and sister-in-law and brother-in-law Marion Racz and Don Swartman (Linda). She was predeceased by baby sister Sharon Bogart (Terry). She is also survived by an extended family of nieces, nephews, cousins and an aunt. Born in Springfield, Ontario, on December 30th, 1937, she was a daughter of the late "Doc" Eric and Pearl (Arn) Farrow. Though small in stature, Anita had a big heart, a spunky personality and a zest for life. She relished the company of friends but experienced true joy in being surrounded by her immediate and extended family. She was an accomplished businesswoman, seamstress and gardener, and donated her time to numerous charitable and political causes. Friends and family may call at the H. A. KEBBEL FUNERAL HOME in Aylmer, Ontario, on Sunday, August 28th, 2016, from 7-9pm where the funeral service will be held on Monday, August 29th at 11am. Interment will take place at Springfield Cemetery.
