Maria Friesen Berg at St. Thomas Elgin General Hospital on Monday, January 5, 2009. Maria Friesen Berg of Aylmer in her 82nd year. Beloved wife of the late Cornelius Friesen(1991) and the late Cornelius Berg(1999). Dear mother Helen Hamm and husband Abe, Isaac Friesen and wife Kathy, Neil Friesen and wife Helen, Margaret Seimens and husband Frank, George Friesen and wife Susan, Mary Klassen and husband Dave, Jake Friesen and wife Lisa, Bill Friesen and wife Helen, Nancy Klassen and husband Neil, John Friesen and wife Tina. Sister of Isaac and Helen. Also survived by a number of step-children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren. Born in Durango Mexico on April 10, 1927. Friends may call at the H. A. Kebbel Funeral Home, Aylmer on Thursday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. The funeral service will be held at the Old Colony Mennonite Church on Friday, January 9, 2009 at 2:00 pm. Interment, Old Colony Mennonite Cemetery. Bishop Herman Bergen, officiating. "Mom had the most generous spirit. She gave whenever there was a need. She put everyone before herself. Her concern and prayers were always for the spiritual welfare of all of her family."
