Obituary of Jack Carroll
Carroll, John Henry "Jack" of Chartwell, Aylmer and a longtime resident of Port Burwell passed away at his residence on Monday, June 13, 2016 in his 92nd year. Loving father of Patricia Wilson(the late Mike) of Aylmer, Betty Hermsen(Rob) of R.R.2, Springfield, Mike Carroll of Woodstock and Ed Carroll (Cynthia) of Stoney Creek. Dear brother of Tom Carrel(Muriel) and the late Rosie Firby(Max). Proud grandfather of Celeste, Carter, Brandon, Leigh, Scott, Lori, Mandy, Julie and Connie and great-grandfather of Rylee, Ryan, Brayden, Bryce, Dayne and Dawson. Also survived by a number of nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his wife Velma(Nesbitt) Carroll and good friend Vickie Tribe. Born in South Dorchester Twp. on July 15, 1924, son of the late Edward and Adele (Nant) Carrel. Jack was dedicated member of the Royal Canadian Legion. He served in Royal Canadian Air Force in WWII from 1942-1946. He was a farmer and worked for Top Notch Feeds for 23 years. Friends may call at the H. A. Kebbel Funeral Home, Aylmer on Wednesday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Legion Service Wednesday at 7:00 p.m. The funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Thursday, June 16, 2016 at 1:30 pm.
