Miss Sinden was also my favourite teacher. She made everyone feel important and worthy. Social Studies came alive and I still have my notebook from our grade 6 lessons. Like so many others, I loved the books she would read aloud to us - especially Anne of Green Gables. Thank you Miss Sinden for the difference you made in so many young peoples' lives! My sympathies to her extended family!

So sorry to hear of Berniece's passing. My father-in-law Tom was very fond of his Berniece. When his eye sight failed it was Berneice who planted seeds and also did the re planting. We have been blessed to have Berneice in our lives.

Miss Sinden was my grade 6 teacher. The best teacher I had in my 5 years in Aylmer. I learned to enjoy books because of her. I'll see her in heaven.

I remember, with smiles, the year I spent with Miss Sinden at McGregor. She was my grade six teacher and I thrived under her strict tutelage. I made many wonderful friendships that year and hers was one. I now teach at McGregor and never fail to think of her when I enter her former room. Rest in peace, dear lady.

Miss Sinden was my grade 6 teacher and I have never forgotten her! She was a lover of Anne Of Green Gables and so am I, because of her! When I was growing up in Aylmer she lived across the street from us and we would have the occasional chat to catch up on life. My thoughts are with the family during this time of loss, Jennifer McPherson

Aunt Berniece we have travelled far together along this highway of life. We have shared so many ups and downs, trials and tribulations and I would not have missed one bit. You definetly helped in molding me to the man l have become. I am a son, a brother, a father and very proud to say your nephew. I will miss the times we have spent together especially the last few years. I will not have to go far to be near you as you will always be in my heart. I love you and will think of you often. George

I am very sorry to hear of the passing of Miss.Sinden. I met Bernice approximatly 30yrs ago when she was my grade 6 teacher. She was an amazing teacher but more then that she became my friend, confidant, and mentor in the years to follow. I became a junior in the ladies division of the Aylmer Fair and over the last few years would visit with Bernice every Wed. night until she went to Terrace Lodge. We had great visits and I will dearly miss her. Condolenses to the family. May you Rest In Peace Bernice.. til we meet again my friend.

Miss Sinden because this is how I have always addressed her out of respect love and awe of her!! She was a wonderful teacher but also a wonderful kind person who took me under her wing and encourage this student not to give up!!! It's been a few years since I last Sat down and had one of our long talks the last time was just a few years back she stopped in to see how I was doing since Jerry past away that was just her way she would pop in if she happened to be out and about!! I will always cherish this wonderful woman and remember her for all the wonderful gifts she gavefrom her gift of reading and hand writing and how patient she could be when she saw you struggling at any subject!! I will miss this great lady!! Rest in peace Miss Sinden rest in peace!!

Miss Sinden was a remarkable teacher. I had her for grade 6. I did some of my first art work in her class. Whenever I returned to Aylmer, she always remembered me and we would have a nice talk. When my daughter passed she made a donation in her memory. That I will never forget. Miss Sinden had a positive influence on so many of her students.

Berniece did her practice teaching at Aylmer Public and I'll never forget the science lesson she taught was about a turtle. The following year she was employed as a grade six teacher and I was in her first class. Over the years she became a friend, fellow teacher and years later taught Brian and Kevin. Her love of antiquities was shared and she was a ready supply of information. We'll remember you, Berniece. Allan and Barbara
