Hooymayers, William of Aylmer passed away at Welland County General Hospital on Sunday, May 8, 2016 in his87th year. Beloved husband of the late Catherine(Van Roessel) Hooymayers(2013). Dear father of Ed Hooymayers (Jamie) of Welland, Mary-Joe Christmas (Doug) of LaSalle and Bill Hooymayers (Eva) of London. Loved by his grandchildren William, Kara, Dana, Erin, Michael, Katie and Great grandfather of Ben and Allison. Brother of Hanny Hooymayers of France and Antonius Hooymayers of the Netherlands. Brother-in-law of Rita Jansen (Albert) of Aylmer, Andre VanRoessel (Loeki) of Aylmer and Nellie Schouten of the Netherlands. Also survived by a number of nieces and nephews. Predeceased by a sister Elizabeth. William lived in the Aylmer since 1988 and enjoyed lawn bowling. Bill was an avid gardener and loved to entertain family and friends. Born in Eindhoven, The Netherlands on September 19, 1929. Friends may call at the H. A. Kebbel Funeral Home, Aylmer on Thursday 1-3 p.m. where the funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Thursday, May 12, 2016 at 3pm. Cremation has taken Place.
