Ayerst, John William "Jack" of Aylmer passed away at his residence on Thursday, March 3, 2016 in his 83rd year. Beloved husband of 61 years of Loretta (Charron) Ayerst . Dear father of Deb Desrosiers(Paul) of Aylmer. Loving grandfather of Melanie(Martin) and Tyler(Kathryn). Great grandfather of Nicole. Also survived by sisters Evelyn Zinn(Jack), Helen Bachura(Frank) and a number of nieces and nephews. Predeceased by a sister Shirley Garvin(Jim). Born in Hamilton Ontario on November 27, 1933, son of the late John and Sarah (Quigley) Ayerst. Jack served in the Royal Canadian Army with the Queen's Own Rifles during the Korean Conflict. He was a member of Col. Talbot Branch 81 of the Royal Canadian Legion and worked at Ford Talbotville for 31 years.His greatest joy was spending time with his family. Friends may call at the H. A. Kebbel Funeral Home, Aylmer on Sunday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. The funeral service will be held in the funeral home chapel on Monday, March 7, 2016 at 1:00 pm. Interment, Dorchester Union Cemetery.
