Obituary of Alan Montgomery

Montgomery: Alan a resident of Aylmer passed away at his home on Monday November 14, 2011, in his 66th year. Beloved husband of Holly (Utting) Montgomery. Dear father of Carrie and David Theissler of Barrie and Jeff Montgomery of London. Loving Grampie of Ben, Olivia, Sam and Jill and Chelsea and Shawn. Dear brother of Heather and Terry Guest of B.C., Matthew and Linda Montgomery, Elizabeth Montgomery and Greg Montgomery all of California. Son-in-law of Joan Utting of Brockville and nephew of Joyce Evans of Stouffville. Brother-in-law of Heather and James Stronach of Ottawa and Tim and Elinor Utting of Brockville. Also survived by a number of nieces and nephews. Born in Woodstock, Ontario on July 19, 1946, the son of the late James Montgomery and Irene (Barnett)) Montgomery. Alan had been a Instructor at the Ontario Police College. He was a member of Malahide Masonic Lodge, Aylmer, the Aylmer Shrine Club and a director on the board of the Port Stanley Terminal Railway. Alan was a former member of Aylmer Town Council. Friends may call at the H.A. Kebbel Funeral Home, Aylmer 2-4 and 7-9 pm on Wednesday where the service will be held on Thursday November 17, 2011 at 11:00 am. Interment Aylmer Cemetery. Rev Cam Watts officiating.
