Obituary of James Honsinger

Honsinger, at St.Thomas -Elgin General Hospital on Saturday October 25, 2008. James R. Honsinger of Aylmer in his 59th year. Beloved husband of Karyn (Hewbank) Honsinger. Dear father of Nicole Honsinger and companion Jerry Halfpenny of Springfield, Tim Honsinger and Mark Honsinger of Aylmer. Loved by his grandchildren Mackenzie and Colton. Dear son of EllaMay Melchior of Tillsonburg and the late Ralph Honsinger. Brother of Wynne Honsinger of Collingwood. Also survived by a good friend Jamie Killough. Step-father of Justin and Jaryd Triebl . Son-in-law of Harry and Ruth Hewbank of Aylmer. Brother-in-law of Nancy Hewbank and companion Dean Kebbel and Tim Hewbank and wife Tracy. Also survived by numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. Born in Tillsonburg Ontario, March 19, 1950. Jim owned and operated Smith Auto Electric in Aylmer for many years. He was a Past President of the Aylmer Kinsmen Club, a member of the Aylmer Ducks Unlimited Committee, a Past President of the Springfield Lions Club and a member of the Poplar Ridge Snowmobile Club. His many hobbies included go-kart racing, hunting and fishing. In keeping with Jim's wishes cremation has taken place. To celebrate his life the family will receive friends at the Springfield Lions Community Centre, 33 Wellington St., Springfield on Wednesday, October 29 from 7-9 pm. Jim's ashes will rest in St.Lukes Cemetery, Vienna. Donations to the Canadian Cancer Society or Ducks Unlimited as expressions of sympathy appreciated by the family. H.A.
