Obituary of John Van Lingen

Van Lingen, John at Chateau Gardens, Aylmer on Tuesday May 22, 2012. John Van Lingen of Aylmer in his 76th year. Dear father of Margaret Van Lingen of Kitchener, Lynn Langford and husband Brian of Aylmer, Ann Dunn and husband James of Richmond and Linda Robinson of Mt. Forest. Loving grandfather of Shawn, Shelby, Alexis, Kyle, Jessie and Jordan. Dear brother of Melvin VanLingen(Gisselle), Fred VanLingen(Elsa), Andy VanLingen(Karen) and Henry VanLingen. Also survived by a brother-in-law Albert DeSchiffert, a sister-in-law Jean VanLingen, and a number of nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his sister Edith DeSchiffert and a brother Clarence VanLingen. Born in Burum The Netherlands on May 13,1937 son of the late Taeke and Anna (Miedema) VanLingen. John came to Canada in 1951. John was a member of the Aylmer Christian Reformed Church. He was a dairy farmer and a custodian at E.E.S.S. and McGregor Public School. He enjoyed gardening and drives to Pt. Bruce. Friends may call at the H. A. Kebbel Funeral Home, Aylmer on Thursday 2-4 & 7-9 pm . The funeral service will be held at the Aylmer Christian Reformed Church on Friday May 25, 2012 at 11:00 am. Pastor Louis Bosma officiating.
