Obituary of Donald MacIntyre
MacIntyre, peacefully surrounded by his family at St. Thomas Elgin General Hospital on Sunday, October 19, 2008. Donald Duncan MacIntyre of Aylmer and formerly R.R.#1, Belmont in his 83rd year. Beloved husband of 60 years to Marion (Jenkins) MacIntyre and cherished father of Jim MacIntyre and wife Doreen(Foster) and Judy and husband Bruce Fentie. He was a devoted grandfather to Kate MacIntyre, Kristie and husband Dr. Matthew Jones, Nathan MacIntyre, Greg Fentie and fiancée Ashley and Darryl Fentie and friend Jenna. He will be sadly missed by a brother John MacIntyre and wife Rhoda, a sister Margaret Tuffin and husband Ray and a number of nieces and nephews. Born in South Dorchester Twp. on December 2, 1925, he was the eldest son of the late James and Eva (Taylor) MacIntyre (Both in 1962). Don lived most of his life in South Dorchester Township where he farmed and drove truck. He was a member of Harriesville United Church and Hope Lodge #69 I.O.O.F. Friends may call at the H. A. Kebbel Funeral Home, Aylmer on Tuesday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. where the funeral service will be held in the funeral home chapel on Wednesday, October 22, 2008 at 1:30 p.m. Interment, Aylmer Cemetery.
