How saddened we are to read of Dorothy's passing. We have so many fond memories of our visits to the farm and Dorothy was such a gracious hostess and good cook.
Our parents enjoyed so many good times together and they cherished their friendship over many years.
Please accept our sincerest condolences to you all and may your fondest memories of her help sustain you at this difficult time.
Sincerely,
G

Dear VanPatter Family. I would like to express my sincerest condolences to you all. Your parents played a big part in the life of my family. In 1949 the Marissen family, Henry, Tena and 6 children, of which I am the youngest, emmigrated to Canada from Holland. Our first home, and my father's first job in Canada, were on your parent's farm. I am told that your father was very good to my Dad, paying him $5.00 a month more than other farmers paid immigrant workers. I spoke with you Mother just before Christmas and she remembered us. I, of course, remember none of it all being 23 months old at the time. Tiena Jones, on behalf of the Marissen family.
