Obituary of Donald Wales

WALES, Donald Burns of Chartwell Home, Aylmer passed away at his residence on Thursday, December 17th, 2015 in his 89th year. Beloved husband of the late Eleanor (Dix) Wales. Dear father of Mark Wales (Eleanor Renaud) of Aylmer and Scott Wales (Kathy) of St. Thomas. Loving grandfather of Greg, Mark Jr. (Martha), Alyecia, Celia (Kent), Elizabeth (Andrew), Jessica (Rob), and Chris (Lynn). Great-grandfather of Coral (Chris), Cameron, Ava, Aiden, Isabelle, Isla, Logan, Clara and great-great-grandfather of Stella. Survived by a sister Mary Lou Rober (Howie) and a number of nieces and nephews. Predeceased by brothers Doug, Jim, Bob and Larry. Born February 5th, 1927 in Wheatley Ontario, son of the late Burns and Marguerite (McDonald) Wales. Don retired as Vice President of Imperial Tobacco after 37 years of service. He was an exceptional Tobacco farmer, as well as Partner of Delta Leaf Tillsonburg. He will be fondly remembered for his kind heart, service to others and his contributions to his community. Don was known to spark an enlightened conversation with just about anyone. Always had time for his family and friends, finding joy in simply taking a walk together. Friends are invited to visitation at H. A. Kebbel Funeral Home, Aylmer on Sunday 2-4 and 7-9pm, where the funeral service will be held on Monday, December 21st, 2015 at 11am.
