Obituary of Nora Brooks

Brooks, Nora of Aylmer passed away peacefully with her family by her side at St. Thomas Elgin General Hospital on Sunday, November 29, 2015 in her 81st year. Beloved wife of the late "Bob" Robert Leonard Brooks(2011). Dear mother of Cathy Brooks of Aylmer, Marilyn Brooks and fiance Mike Green of St.Thomas and Rob Brooks and wife Cheryl of Aylmer. Loved by her grandchildren Katelyn, Taylor and Jazmine and great grandchildren Lillie, Grayson and Harper. Also survived by a brother Bob Van Velzer and wife Doris, a sister Margaret Kenny and husband Harold and a number of nieces and nephews. Predeceased by brothers Stanley and Donald VanVelzer. Born in Dexter, Ontario on October 6, 1935, daughter of the late Fred and Elva (Williams) Van Velzer. Nora was a bookkeeper and she was a longtime member of Malahide United Church. Friends may call at the H. A. Kebbel Funeral Home, Aylmer on Tuesday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. where the funeral service will be held on Wednesday, December 2, 2015 at 1:00 pm. Interment, Aylmer Cemetery.
