Obituary of Betty Fentie

Fentie, Betty Evelyn Peacefully, on Saturday, October 10, following a brief illness at her residence in Terrace Lodge, Aylmer, ON. Betty was the beloved wife of the late Don Fentie (2006), cherished mother of sons Ron and fiancée Jean and Bruce and wife Judy, loving grandmother of Tricia and Brad Van Gorp, Tara and Matt Gavey, Andrea and Ben Gavey, Greg and Ashley Fentie and Darryl and Jenna Fentie and proud great-grandmother of Ali, Trevor and Holly Van Gorp, Lydia, Sophia, Danika and Alexandra Gavey and Gavin, Scarlett and Aiden Fentie. Born February 14, 1927 in North Dorchester Township, Betty was the last remaining child of the late Cecil and Agnes (Smith) Hunter. She is pre-deceased by brothers Albert, Robert and Tom Hunter, sisters Dorothy Shackelton and June Evaschuck and brother-in-law Les Evaschuk. She is survived by brothers-in-law Les Shackelton and Jack Harkes and sisters-in-law Reta, Arlene and Donna Hunter as well as several nieces and nephews. Friends and family may share their memories at the H. A. Kebbel Funeral home on Tuesday, October 13th from 2 - 4pm and 7 - 9pm. Funeral services will take place on Wednesday, October 14th at 1:00pm at the Springfield Baptist Church. Donations to Springfield Baptist Church or Terrace Lodge would be appreciated.
