Obituary of Rene Rommel

Rommel, at St. Thomas Elgin General Hospital on Saturday, September 6, 2008. Rene Rommel of Aylmer in his 84th year. Beloved husband of Mary (Vandecasteele) Rommel. Dear father of Renee Rommel of R.R.#5, Aylmer. He will be sadly missed by his granddaughters Danielle and Darcy as well as his sisters Germaine Rommel-Geldhof and husband Maurice and Jacqueline Rommel-Beernaert. Predeceased by 3 brothers and 2 sisters. Rene was a tobacco farmer. He was a member of Our Lady of Sorrows R.C. Church and the Knights of Columbus. Born in Veldegem, Belgium on February 8, 1925. Friends may call at the H. A. Kebbel Funeral Home, Aylmer on Monday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. The funeral mass will be celebrated on Tuesday September 9, 2008 at 11 am. Cremation will follow with interment in the Queen of Peace Cemetery. Father Joseph Nevett, officiating.
