Obituary of Joseph Carrel

Carrel, Joseph of Terrace Lodge, Aylmer passed away at Tillsonburg District Memorial Hospital on Thursday, February 27, 2014 in his 94th year. Beloved husband of Flossie (Stevens) Carrel. Dear father of Ruth Abbott Kinsey (Wayne) of Tillsonburg, Margaret Bedwell of R.R.# 3 Delhi, George Carrel (Susan) of Brownsville and Donald Carrel (Vickie) of Brownsville. Loved by 6 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren. Predeceased by a son-in-law Bill Abbott , a brother Walter Carrel and a sister Agnes Smith. Joe was a retired farmer and trucker. He came to Canada in 1921 and was veteran of WW II serving with the RCR's in Sicily, Italy, France and Belgium from 1942 - 1945. Born in Gurnesy Islands England on July 16, 1920 Friends may call at the H. A. Kebbel Funeral Home, Aylmer on Sunday 2-4 & 7-9 pm where the funeral service will be held on Monday, March 3, 2014 at 1:00 pm. Interment, Springfield Cemetery.
