Wellwood, Iris Clara of Terrace Lodge, Aylmer passed away peacefully at her residence on Wednesday, December 18, 2013 in her 98th year. Wife of the late Reginald Wellwood(1996). Dear mother of Christopher and wife Elizabeth of Kingston, Michael and wife Mary-Anne of Aylmer and Barbara Warnock and husband Bob of Aylmer. Dear sister of Jean Cameron. Also survived by eleven grandchildren, twenty-eight and a half great grandchildren, 3 great great grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews. Predeceased by a brother and a sister. Born in Brighton, England on March 11, 1916, daughter of the late Frederick and Louise (Wesche) Wood. Iris was an actress, artist, singer, Land Army Girl, war bride, pianist, reader, sewer, knitter, photographer, volunteer, world traveller, letter writer, Royalist and friend. Friends may call at the H. A. Kebbel Funeral Home, Aylmer on Friday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A funeral service will be held at Trinity Anglican Church, Aylmer on Saturday, December 21, 2013 at 1:00 pm. Cremation will follow. Donations to the Trinity Anglican Church(Wellwood Family Trust or Sleeping Children Around the World) would be appreciated.
