Obituary of Donald Pressey

Pressey, Donald Clair of Aylmer passed away at Tillsonburg District Memorial Hospital on Thursday, October 24, 2013 in his 89th year. Beloved husband of Dorothy (Bagnall) Pressey. Dear father of Rhonda Pressey (Wayne Dunlop). Roderick Pressey (Beth), Joel Pressey, Sheldon Pressey (Donna Summers)and Darcy Pressey(Jennifer Corless). Loved by his grandchildren Amanda Hurley (Rob Cameron), Valerie Hurley, Josh Dunlop, Jennifer Pressey (Craig Steptoe), Alison Pressey. Vanessa Pressey, Rance Pressey and Racheal Pressey and Owen Corless Pressey. Great grandfather of Mitchel, Keegan, Haley, Landon, Logan, Grayson and Elody. Predeceased by a brother Grant Pressey(1993) and a sister Jean Harrett (2002). Uncle of Stuart Harrett (Aldena), Laurie Jongedyk (Tony) and Gary Pressey. Born in Malahide Township, Ontario on March 20, 1925 son of the late H. Clair and Ethel (Winters) Pressey. Don lived all of his life in the Aylmer area. He was a member of St.Paul's United Church and a veteran of W.W. II serving in the Essex Scottish Regiment. He was a transport driver, drawing milk to Carnation and then worked as an equipment operator for the Ministry of Transportation Patrol 7 at New Sarum for twenty-three years, retiring in 1987. Don was a member of the Masonic Lodge, a fifty year member of the Royal Arch Masons Chapter no. 81, Aylmer, a Past Worthy Patron of Carnation Chapter 135 O.E.S. Springfield and upon it's closing a member of MacDonald Chapter 167 Tillsonburg. He became a life member of 60 years in 2007. Friends may call at the H. A. Kebbel Funeral Home, Aylmer on Sunday 2-4 pm where the funeral service will be held on Monday, October 28, 2013 at 1:00pm. Rev. Lynne Allin officiating. Interment, Aylmer Cemetery.
