Our deepest condolences to the family. Uncle Albert will always have a special place in our hearts. We keep very dear memories of him and aunt Marie. We always looked forward to his visits to Belgium. In our last calls we made plans to visit the Canadian Museum from WWII in Maldegem and to play cards (manillen). When we visited Canada we were always most welcome and he took us to a lot of nice places. We hope the contact with the family will continue, either in Belgium or in Canada.
We are grateful for his long and valuable life. We know a lot of people will cary him in their hearts.

Albert was my Teacher and Mentor. I learned more about faith from Albert than any other person or any other church or community. We shared long talks, sometimes late into the night, over bottles of Belgian beer, Filet Mignon, or peering in wonder over his work table full of stained glass miracles. My home is blessed to be graced by his work in nearly every window. I will always remember his love of life, the twinkle in his eyes (which I am sure will never go out) and his patience and understanding. He once advised me once not to worry. He also taught me about acceptance. I am blessed to have known Albert. And I plan to fill every moment of my life from now on with Joy in his memory. Safe journeys my friend.
