Obituary of Corrie Van Rheenen

Van Rheenen, Cornelia Seferina "Corrie" The Lord took home His faithful servant Corrie Van Rheenen, nee Cok, of Terrace Lodge, Aylmer and formerly of Woodstock on Thursday, May 30, 2013. Corrie was born in the Netherlands on May 31, 1921, beloved wife of the late Tony (2000) and loving mother of Margie (William) De Jong of Woodstock, Edith Spooner (the late David, 2000) of Chatham, Pieter (Karen) Van Rheenen of Victoria, B.C., Margaret (Roger) Young of Wiarton, and Sylvia (Red) Hooghiem of Aylmer. Loving Oma to her grandchildren Paul (Kathryn), Scott (Patsy), Duane (fiancee Monica), Michelle (Jeff), Rhonda (Jeff), Troy (Shayna), Jennice, Tyrone, Julian, Melinda (Simon), Andrea, Matthew, Michael, Jeremy, Bradley, and Nicole, her 23 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great grandchild. Predeceased by 3 great-grandchildren. She will be missed by her sister Lineke (Jan) Koster, and in-laws Albert Rougoor, Dineke Van Rheenen, Joke Cok, and Annie Cok in the Netherlands, and Trudy Heimann of Switzerland; predeceased by 9 siblings. Friends may call at the H. A. Kebbel Funeral Home, Aylmer on Friday 7-9 p.m. A Graveside Service will be held at the Oxford Memorial Park Gardens, Woodstock on Saturday, June 1, 2013 at 9:00 a.m. A celebration of life will be held at the Aylmer Christian Reformed Church (Caverly Rd. at South Street West) on Saturday, June 1, 2013 at 11:00 am. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in memory of Corrie to the Canadian Bible Society or the Alzheimer Society.
