Obituary of Agnes Helmer

Helmer (Polgar), Agnes Anne of R.R.# 2, St. Thomas passed away at London Health Science Centre-Westminster on Monday, March 18, 2013 in her 74th year. Dear mother of Melanie Cockrill (Robert) of Paynes Mills and Kenneth White Jr. (Melanie) of R.R. 2, St. Thomas. Loved by her grandchildren Brittany, Haley, Emily and Alexandria and Tyler, Autumn and Hunter. Dear sister of Eleanor Kazman and Nancy Huggonson(Earl). Niece of Justina Polgar and Frank and Helen Polgar. Also survived by a number of nieces, nephews and cousins. Predeceased by her husband Rex Helmer and brothers John and Leonard Polgar. Born in Straffordville Ontario on January 27, 1940, daughter of the late Joseph and Helen (Danko) Polgar. Agnes was an R.N.A. and had worked at the St.Thomas Elgin General Hospital. She lived all her life in the Aylmer area and was a member of the Community of Christ Church in St.Thomas. She was a member of Central Star Chapter # 57 of the Order of The Eastern Star, a Past Matron, Past District Deputy Grand Matron and a Past Grand Representative of North Dakota in Ontario. Friends may call at the H. A. Kebbel Funeral Home, Aylmer on Thursday 2-4 & 7-9 pm. The funeral service will be held at The Community of Christ Church, 105 Fairview Ave., St.Thomas on Friday March 22, 2013 at 11:00 am. Members of the Eastern Star will conduct a memorial service 6:30 pm Thursday at the funeral home. Burial of ashes, Queen of Peace Cemetery.
