MacDonald, Alex A. of Aylmer passed away at St. Thomas Elgin General Hospital on Saturday, November 3, 2012 in his 82nd year. Beloved husband of Emmy(McMaster) MacDonald. Dear father of Cindy MacDonald and husband Paul Hewson of Belmont, Hector MacDonald of London, Glenn MacDonald and wife Linda of Aylmer. Loving grandfather of Courtney Martin, Ashley Friesen(Chris), David Martin, Shannon MacDonald, Shawn Mac Donald. Great-grandfather of Leah and Amy Friesen. Brother of Fidelle Mac Donald. Brother-in-law of Bob Mazzocca, Gerri Mac Donald and Joanne Mac Donald. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by a daughter Sandra, a son Scott, sisters Charlotte Steele, Mary McNeil, Marguerite Mazzocca and brothers Angus and Floyd Mac Donald. Born in Creignish, Cape Breton, Nova Scotia on April 22, 1931 son of the late Hector and Mary (MacEachern) MacDonald. Alex worked at Imperial Tobacco for 35 years. He was a member of the Aylmer Optimist Club and Our Lady of Sorrows Roman Catholic Church. Friends may call at the H. A. Kebbel Funeral Home, Aylmer on Monday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Our Lady of Sorrows Roman Catholic Church on Tuesday, November 6 at 11:00 a.m. Interment Queen of Peace Cemetery.
