Obituary of Ted Huisman

Huisman, Theodore “Ted” of Aylmer passed away at St. Thomas Elgin General Hospital on Tuesday, February 6, 2018 in his 89th year.  Beloved husband of the late Alida "Ellie" Huisman (Dudink).  Loving father of Gary Huisman(Marg) of St. Thomas, Kathy Lennon(David) of Atlanta Georgia, Brenda McCluskie(Jim) of St. Thomas, Rick Huisman(Linda) of Windsor and Shirley Huisman of Kitchener.  He will be missed by 11 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren. Brother of  Abel, Jan, Albert, Hank, Otto, Louise and Greg(Barbara).  Also survived by a number of nieces and nephews.  Predeceased by grandsons David and Derek McDowell and siblings Pete, John, Charles, Joe, Joanne Sym and Rita Stuyt.  Born in Witmarsum, The Netherlands on November 25, 1929, son of the late Gosse and Theresia(Potma) Huisman.  Ted worked for many years at Aylmer Dairy as a milk salesman.  He was a member of Our Lady of Sorrows R. C. Church and enjoyed keeping active at the Pleasant Valley Golf & Country Club and the Men's Bowling league.  Friends may call at the H. A. Kebbel Funeral Home, Aylmer on Thursday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m.  Prayers Thursday at 4p.m.   The funeral mass will be held at Our Lady of Sorrows R.C. Church on Friday, February 9, 2018 at 10 a.m.  Interment, Queen of Peace Cemetery.  Donations to the St. Thomas Elgin General Hospital Foundation would be appreciated.  Share memories or condolences at kebbelfuneralhome.com
