Summers, Harold George of Aylmer passed away at Aylmer Retirement Residence on Thursday, March2, 2017 in his 88th year. Beloved husband of Freda (Bagnall) Summers. Dear father of Vicky Carrel (Donnie) of Brownsville, Mary Lou Bentley (Dave) of Tillsonburg, Kenny Summers (Linda McCallum) of New Sarum, Maxine Posthumus (Rick) of Aylmer, Georgina Blankenship (Steve ) of Aylmer. Predeceased by a son-in-law Allen Taber. Loved by his grandchildren Christine, Tyler, Dwayne, Matt, Todd, Justin, Chantelle and Stevie. Also survived by a number of great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Brother of Carl Summers (Doris) of Dorchester, Russell Summers (Rosaland ) of Tillsonburg, and Esther Gray(The late Jim) of Aylmer. Brother-in-law of Marie Summers and Dorothy Pressey. Predeceased by a brother Lyle Summers. Born in Malahide Township, March 25, 1929, son of the late Kenneth and Gladys (Hodson) Summers. Harold was a farmer and drove transport for Booth Transport and Bruce Smith Transport. He had also been a part owner of the Aylmer Sales Barn. Harold he served in the Royal Canadian Army with the ground Fusiliers. He was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion Col. Talbot Br# 81 and a Past Noble Grand of Ark Lodge # 404 I.O. O.F. Springfield. Friends may call at the H. A. Kebbel Funeral Home, Aylmer on Friday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. where the funeral service will be held on Saturday at 11:00 a.m. Interment Aylmer Cemetery.
